The
museum recently installed a nice new shed to house its fleet in better
conditions and to provide additional display and office space. At the moment,
four electric cars and the horse car (seen behind the H1) are stored in here,
isolated from the main system. As a result, the Birney, F1 282, the D car and
the H1 cannot be used in service.
The
attached photo shows what may arguably be Oz's ugliest car (although the field
is strong...), H1 381 the first and last car of the 40 car
fleet.
She's big, she's heavy and boy she's
ugly!
