Hate to disappoint- both of you but the most fantastic design of the 1930's and used with modifications until 1964 is of course the FM's!

To prove my point, can someone from Ferny Grove or Loftus what a picture of an FM in service, or 429, 548 or 554? I have no digital pictures myself!

Subject: [TramsDownUnder] Touch of class

In an attempt to introduce some quality into this group, I would like to submit this car as the epitome of Australasian tram design of the 30's.

Even nowdays we are banging our heads to design a car which is modern and pleasing to the eyes as well as keeping those traditional features which will always belong to a tram.

There is no doubt whatsoever that this car met all these requirements.
