So it was the longer wheelbase that caused the

Here are the pix of 180 off the tracks at Princes
Bridge 9/9/67 - actually a bit later than I indicated
in a previous post - the derailment occurred on a
later tour.
For out of towners, Princes Bridge is the main bridge
linking the Melbourne city centre to all points South.
The second pic shows the fans trying to push the car
back on the tracks - completely ineffective.
R10 did the job - while those of us who knew that the
bumper bar was only held on with two bolts took a few
steps back.
Personalities of the time prominent in Pic 1 are Len
Millar, Doug Prosser and Greg Turnbull.
