OB overhead and football 1

In the winter in NZ it used to be great to watch the footy trams after the RUGBY game at Athletic Park in Wellington.
A veritable river of people would pour out of the gates and walk in to the City if the could not get a tenacious but suicidal foothold on a tram.
These shots were taken at the Basin Reserve,  where the tram line made four right angle turns to avoid running through the centre of the cricket venue.
Note the OB style trolleybus sweeps in the tram overhead.
These would have been made in Kilbirnie workshops and you can note the clips holding the grooved wire and the galvanised stayrod anchoring the fitting to the span which was doulbled  to carry the tension of 6 trolley wires.
