Road wheels refers to the replacement of the original Crossley front
wheels with "BUT" ones...

Stands for British United Traction...
It was an english company who built trolley buses using mainly
Leyland Chassis parts.

You would be very surprised to learn that the frontal design was
derived from America ( as in twin Coach etc )
many buses were to feature the "Lantern" windscreens.
and if I can be so bold Bob.........The worlds ugliest bus, MMTB MAN
mk 1 as quote by yourself at the time, and the dreaded Volvo B59s of
the MMTB, but they got it wrong and the slope was all wrong here.
