That's so oogly, I actually like it. Shame it's gone. Why was it so short, Graeme? Did NZ have English-type length restrictions? How wide was it?

Subject: [TramsDownUnder] New Plymouth NZ

I was bought up in New Plymouth with its 10 trams, 4 trolley buses and about 20 infernal combustion buses.
TB 4 shown here was the first to be withdrawn .
It went firstly to the Fitzroy Motor Camp for some years ,  until aquired by the Taranaki Aviation and Transport Museum who intended to restore it.
However that was not to be and it ultimately rotted away on a nearby farm.
Some parts were retrieved and used in the reconstruction of NP 2 in Foxton by Wayne Little. (This TB had been dieselised and converted to a movan by his father, Ian Little of Foxton Trolley bus Museum fame many years before.)
Bus was built by NEW PLYMOUTH TRAMWAYS 1 - 4 on Crossley TSD chassis to Wellington design 1- 10.
