With all the stuff happening on the PCC Streetcars group, I'm sure it would be easy to trace down a pair of PCC trucks for 980.

Have any of the Bylands mob tried that?

Seems kind of silly to wait around for its original trucks. Besides 1041 itself is a historic car.

P.C.C. 980 at the T.M.S.V. museum site at Bylands south of Kilmore.The electrical gear was removed from this tram and installed in the then new 1041 which would be the foruner to the Z class in Melbourne.The body of 980 is on workshop trucks in this photo.There are moves at present to restore this fine tram to operating condition again.I rode it on many occasions on the East Brunswick 96 route and it certainly was one of my favorite trams.Trucker Graeme.
