Just wanted to let you know that TramsDownUnder, created on August 21, 2001,
has just added its 100th listmember!
Congratulations, gang, for your work on making this a most interesting and
educational group! There is a lot of great traction history and interest in
Australia and New Zealand, and this group helps bring this history to th
forefront.
To commemorate this event, here is a picture of ex-Melbourne W2 496, which
just returned to service on Muni on January 22 with new (and noisier)
motors. Digital picture taken on January 30 at Pier 39 loop, with Muni's
very first streetcar, Old Number 1 passing by in the background.
