I wouldn't quite describe AEC as a subsidiary of London Transport (formed
1933). In its early days it was fair to say that AEC was very closely associated
with London General Omnibus Company, which by 1933 controlled virtually
everything bar the LCC Tramways and the Municipal Tramways.
