Does anybody know why a beautiful photo has this mottled effect, and how to cure it?

As M>trams have embarked on a repainting program (er, rather a busy colour scheme to put it as politly as I can) why not go to their website and drop em a line suggesting one each of the Z1/2 and Z3 be painted in their old schemes, would make a nice change, I know the paint is still available at the shops, have been given some!

An as new shot of a Z will make a very good comparison to the 2002 shot- gone is the orange paint, trolleypoles and flip over destination signs. I hope they have kept a Z in original condition - today's garbage, tomorrows history and all that!
