On a visit to the T.M.S.V. museum at Bylands near Kilmore one afternoon we were fortunate to have 644 as the service car.The seating layout on this SW2 were altered to the layout found in W7's as the car body was not as wide as the later car's the seat's were not as wide and the isle also was slightly narrower.whether this was considered a success or not I don't know.The car was attached to Preston depot and ran on St Georges rd routes 9 and 10. The tram behind 644 is works car 16 W a former M.M.T.B. passenger car. Trucker Graeme.
