New BigAppleTraction discussion group

Hi, gang!
I have started a new group for discussion of traction and its history in the
New York City metropolitan area. This includes the New York City subway
system, the various streetcar systems in the five boroughs, PATH/H&M,
suburban New York, New Jersey and Connecticut streetcars, Newark and
Hudson-Bergen traction lines, the electrified commuter railroads, etc., etc.
As with all of my other groups, BigAppleTraction allows JPEG-format
pictures, which can be uploaded as attachments to messages (1 to a message)
or to the Files or Photos sections. Text attachments are NEVER permitted.
Files, photos, message archives and bookmarks are open to anyone, as with
all of my groups.
The difference between this group and most of my other groups is that I have
to approve all new memberships. This is just a formality, which will take
anywhere from a few minutes to 10 hours to complete (depending on my work
schedule), but there has been some recent SPAM on some other groups and this
way I get to weed out the spammers from the true traction enthusiasts such
as you.
To subscribe, just send a blank e-mail to
<[email protected]>, or go to the Yahoogroups web
site at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BigAppleTraction. The group is listed
in the "Streetcars, Trolleys and Trams" sub-section of the Business &
Finance section of Yahoogroups.
