I will take all the first day shots you can give me- just gotta love those FM's! The Toowong Line used to be Brisbane's first day photo route of choice due to its proximity to the workshops and its scenic 'spendour'. However, by the time the 8 Phoenix cars were finished the line had closed (at the end of 1962 as a result of the destruction of the Paddington Depot by fire- 65 trams were destroyed). Only the portion of rounte along Milton Road remained for access to the workshops.

 

Although my wife will absolutely anihalate me, put me down for one of the St.Pete's cars Greg! I have seen a few write ups of other cars, namely the R and the Z and they rate very well by all accounts. How much pain and anguish (and dish washing) is it going to cost me?
