Theres more to Trams than just trams. On the list there is talk of Rosettes, etc, so I thought I would show you something else used with trams.

The photo is of a Armature Winding Hammer used in the Randwick Workshops when I was there and probably 100 years before. Each Apprentice had to make his own from parts supplied by the store before working in the Winding section.

This hammer was used to place the coils in the slots of the Armature and to connect the coil wire to the commutator before soldering.
Fibre head one end and Fibre piece on end of handle to force the coils further into the slot.

Just a piece of Trivia.
