Rod, 939 would be running in after the AM peak, there was at least one peak
weekday service that ran in from the City, I will consult my not-so-copious
notes.

My guess would be 31 run was rostered for a day-in car in the AM. The car
would be serviced during the day and then most likely run out for the PM
peak and the late PM service.

Route 10 was shared between the two depots, six cars on the 20 min PM
service, two South Melbourne and four Preston with the last southbound car
running out of South Melbourne around about 10.40pm to Park&Clarendon, West
Preston, Fitzroy&Park then car in.
