Re: Bombardier back in the game?

I totally support making trams in Victoria. What tram is better than the
last one made here for Melbourne, the B class.

But how many maintenance companies will we need. Post privatisation, does
anyone know who is responsible for what? So many private companies, mixed in
with government. I suppose the knowledge is there. I will start a list
with...

D class Combino trams, Siemens of Germany.

C class, Citidas?

I think A, B, Z and W are maintained by the same company, but who are they?

Overhead wiring?

Overhead support poles and painting of them?

Track maintenance?

Track replacement?

Points systems?

Track cleaning?

Safety zone cleaning?

Shelter maintenance and cleaning? Contracted out to who?

Web sites? Metlink or Yarra?

Building of super stops?

Timetables on posts?

Metlink offices?

Who owns and who operates Preston Workshops?
