To the best of my knowledge there is no historical record of a coupling
of J and K classes, indeed there were two separate production runs of
Ks which could only be coupled to their identical production run
bretheren, eg 1295-1296.
Currently at Loftus there could be a coupled set of 'C's, 290 and 29,
subject to electrical work.
In the pipeline 'C'33 is currently being restored at Bendigo to the
double deck configuration it ran in for 6 months in 1908. It will
ultimately run at Loftus with another 'C' car as a coupled set.
A further possibility is 'D'117 currently being restored at Loftus
which could (historically correctly) run as a coupled set with a 'C'car.
