The photo of 977 is taken on my favourite crossing of the Yarra, the Church Street Bridge, designed by famous Melbourne architect Harold Desbrowe-Annear and constructed by John Monash's firm the Reinforced Concrete and Monier Pipe Construction Company. Monash was a pioneer of reinforced concrete construction in Australia, but then, what didn't he do? A remarkable man.
I have to say 111 looked pretty nice in the streets of Melbourne and I thought the livery was pretty attractive too. Yellow is a good colour for a tram.

P.S. must get some more shots on and around the Church Street Bridge, pity it's so busy.
