Danish Tram Museum
  Roderick Smith

I have scanned one of 965 in the depot, and one of a Rostock tram in use as
a kiosk at the terminus, which has a picnic area inside the balloon loop
(remember the thread on trams passing icecream signs?).
The museum has a very comprehensive site, but is a bit misleading re
public-transport access.
The normal museum operating day is Sunday, and there are only three buses
for the day on the route serving it (and Borup has only one train per hour).
There are more buses on Saturdays (the museum runs on Saturdays in summer),
and weekdays (the museum runs only in the high summer peak).
Sunday:
Kobenhavn
Borup 9.45 12.45 16.42
Borup 9.51 12.51 16.47
Museum 10.09 13.09 17.05
Museum 10.09 14.06 17.11
Borup 10.27 14.24 17.29
Borup 14.31 17.36
Kobenhavn
I arrived in Hamburg on an overnight train, connected to the 7.28 Kobenhavn,
alighted at Ringsted for lunch, then continued on a 12.21 suburban to Borup,
arr. ~12.30. The bus left at 12.47, after the two passengers from a 12.43
arrival from Kobenhavn (a pull-push double-deck set) had boarded.
The returning bus left at 17.06, with about three museum visitors and three
workers. It reached Borup at 17.22; the train left at 17.34, and arrived in
Kobenhavn at 18.19.
As to be expected, most visitors that day were family groups arriving by
car.
