Admittedly it is a while since I had to do it, but I think you will find
that most Sydneysiders who drive into the city can only dream of the olden
days when city parking was only $25 a day.

Hi Mal,
Surely the bicycle stencil is in the wrong lane? Or is the kerb side lane
for parking?
If so, it is the same as over here, and is bloody stupid. If a fairway is
going to be created, get rid of the possibility of cars being able to park,
make the kerb side lane for bikes, and is some clot has to use a car, let
them park in a side street.
If more planning was done around trams and not cars, people might get the
idea that a tram will receive priority, and the car won't, in which case it
might be better to get on the tram.
PS BTW and all that: - if fuel prices keep increasing, it will get too
expensive to use the car anyway, and peoples may get the idea that public
transport is the cheaper option.
Somehow, though, I doubt it - at least until city and close city parking
hits $25 /day ($125 a week) and fuel is over $2 litre.
