I enclose a photo of the traverser serving the tram line at Wobbies World,
taken on Sun.21.9.97. At this stage the park was looking a little tired; it
had only a couple of years left before closure.
The tram route started at the traverser, then ran out, around a balloon
loop, and back to the traverser. Vehicles reversed on each trip. Although
there was an operator running the ride from a control panel, I recall that
the traverser itself ran automatically via sensors.
Somewhere I have a list of the trams: each had a destination of a local
suburb. I photographed Burwood and Nunawading; I recall seeing a Forest
Hill. There may have been a Vermont.
The park also had two or three W trams, used as lunch and party shelters.
