Yarra Trams are trialling a radical new form of power collection. This is in response to concerns expressed by certain influential members of TDU and worried local residents. Some TDU members have expressed opposition to the replacement of trolley poles by pantographs and locals are concerned that pantographs are at odds with neighbourhood ambience. Yarra Trams, anxious to be perceived as good and sensitive corporate citizens, have vowed to accomodate these concerns. Your correspondent was on hand today to witness secret trials of the extroardinary new Palmtograph. He hopes you will excuse the rather indistinct photograph but, as you will understand, security was very tight.
