Fri.24.5.24 Metro X
Buses replace trains on sections of the Pakenham line until early June (works).  https://tinyurl.com/mr2df3bx
Frankston line: Trains will not stop at Parkdale until mid 2024 (level-crossing removal work). Shuttle buses will operate Mentone - Parkdale - Mordialloc, connecting with trains. No access to station facilities or platforms during this time.
- Buses replace trains Carrum - Frankston - Stony Point until 4.00 Sat.25.5.
6.22 Altona: Major delays (an equipment fault in the Westona area). Trains will operate direct between Laverton and Newport.  Passengers at Westona, Altona and Seaholme consider alternative transport [is there any?].
- 6.33 The boom gates and locked and down is this the fault?
- 6.48 Yes, that crossing is impacted by a fault in the area. Trains may still operate through the crossing.
- 6.55 clearing.
7.50 Pakenham/Cranbourne lines: Major delays (a passenger incident at Dandenong). Trains may be held at platforms, or may terminate/originate at intermediate locations.
- 8.35 Buses will extend from Berwick to Dandenong until further notice to supplement services.
- 9.14 Clearing.  Trains may be altered.
8.06 Craigieburn line: Major delays (after a train fault). Trains may terminate/originate at intermediate locations or may run direct to Flinders St [how?  cross to the south viaduct?]
- 8.14 clearing.
- Here we go again…. Absolute joke. And still no compensation for all the major delays this week on this line
- 8.47 Major delays again (a track fault in the North Melbourne area). Same solution.
- 99% delivery.
- And you think we're all still gonna tap on?
9.40 Update on the Sunbury line? [I was phoned at ~9.30 by someone reporting a phone call to a radio station.  Metro took a lot longer to reveal anything, and then not the full picture].
- 10.11 Buses to replace trains Sunshine - Footscray (emergency services attending to a serious incident).  Buses ordered, will take over 60 min to arrive.   Consider alternative transport.
- 10.30 Buses will take over 50 min to arrive.
- 10.38 Apparently two people have been struck by a VLine train at Tottenham station. That is why the Sunbury line and VLine are suspended.
- 10.45 Buses are in operation.
- 11.01 Trains resume.  First trains: 11.02 ex Flinders St; 10.56 ex Sunbury.
The South Yarra Siding Reserve is now open! Closed to the public in 2018 to allow for construction of the tunnel eastern entrance - the revitalised park now features fresh landscaping, shelter, seats, public artworks, better lighting, and improved accessibility.
- Carefully avoiding showing the horrific view from passing trains: concrete at its worst.
- I'll have to go. Will be a nice place to relax and watch the trains go pass. Always enjoy a good train spoting place. Corner hotel is the best one
- Wasn't this always there?  You closed it up and now it's reopened with concrete paths.  I remember seeing people do yoga there 15 years ago.
- Half Chinese concrete where are all the trees?
- give us an airport rail road its been 394870547345 years
- It’ll be a hive of criminality in no time
18.50 Werribee/Williamstown/Sunbury lines: Delays through Footscray (police).  Trains may remain stationary for extended periods at or between stations.  trains may terminate/originate at intermediate stations.
- 19.02  Clearing.  Stopping patterns may be changed.
- my train cancelled this morning, and now this happens on my way home. Too often.
20.29 Upfield line: Major delays (a vehicle blocking tracks in the Brunswick area). Trains may remain stationary for extended periods at or between stations.  Trains may terminate/originate at intermediate stations.
- 20.46 Consider tram 19 for trips between the City and Coburg.  Select trains may terminate/originate at Coburg.
- 21.23 Delays clearing after a vehicle blocked tracks in the Brunswick area. Trains may be less frequent [euphemism for cancelled] and trips may take longer than usual.
Buses replace trains Ringwood - Lilydale from 20.30 until early July (works).  https://tinyurl.com/2drv97x9
Pakenham/Cranbourne lines: Buses replace trains Caulfield - Dandenong from 23.00 until the last train of Sun 26 May (works).  https://t.ly/0717N
