I am afraid my geographical knowledge of Bendigo is limited. I saw a bit of it just pre closure of the SEC system and then a little more in recent times. I have memories of the driver’s course at Puckapunyal in 1970. We had a day trip to Bendigo to get us used to trams before the biggy to Melbourne a little while later. Most of the interstaters were a bit wary of trams but they did not worry me. In fact I found that the Melbourne tram drivers were really good giving us go when they could. I well remember one of the instructors giving us a lecture before the trip to Melbourne saying that he did not want any of the trucks to come back with M&MTB badges on them. Sorry I am in dinosaur mode now, that was over 50 years ago!

No worries Geoff—yes, that's the old 1862 name for a place now called Mandurang South, some 10 km south of Bendigo, Victoria. My property abuts to the Sheepwash Creek.

An abbreviation of the name I gave to the new building at the rear of the present Bendigo tram sheds, stuck between it and the railway line to Echuca, i.e. the Taj Mahal (of tramway buildings), lol. 😁
