They are still out there, I walk our dogs along the line between Taverners Hill and Marion or Hawthorn most days, and I see them often. I saw one today, didn’t catch the number on it though.

The new CAFs are all in service but that hasn’t stopped the Alstoms being used, there is still a need for that extra capacity. When first in service they had a strong and nasty chemical smell inside, fortunately now dissipated.
