Re: Sydney tram fleet (modern era)
  Matthew Geier

Several Citadis cars have been deputised to run on the L1 to replace not
yet fully repaired Urbos 3 cars.
Now that the 'railway style' points have been modified, Citadis cars can
run to Dulwich Hill and the cars are cycled through doing L1 duty and then
after a period of time are returned to Randwick.

The trouble with just noting the 2 digit number is there are duplicates and
it would be possible to have two tram 24s running on L1 for example (Urbos
3 2124 and Citadis 2224)

I don't know if they have been careful to avoid this happening or not.
Could get confusing for control when tram 24 calls in on L1 and there are
two 24s in service on the route.

When the lines were 100% separate, it was easy to avoid this, if it was an
L1 call it was 2124 if it was an L2/L3 call it was Citadis 024/2224.
