Thurs.4.4.24 Metro X
Frankston line: Trains will not stop at Parkdale until mid 2024 (level-crossing removal work). Shuttle buses will operate Mentone - Parkdale - Mordialloc, connecting with trains. No access to station facilities or platforms during this time.
We removed the level crossing at Cardinia Rd, Pakenham, in Dec.2020, with traffic travelling safely over the road bridge. https://bit.ly/48OCcpI
- Beautiful.
Rugby at AAMI Park, Richmond, tonight.  Save on petrol and the stress of finding a park and catch public transport to and from the game.
22.30 Werribee/Williamstown line: Major delays (a track fault in the Newport area).   Trains may be held at stations or between stations, or may terminate at intermediate locations.
- What about Frankston line?
- The Frankston line did experience some small delays as a result of these major delays.
- 23.09 Buses will replace trains between Newport and Williamstown due to a track fault in the Newport area. Buses have been ordered, but may take up to 40 min to arrive.  Trains will operate between Flinders St and Newport.
- 23.24 Buses are in operationm adding travel time.
- I arrived at 22.30 for a 22.36. The screen said that it was 3 minutes away, then 2, then 1, but it never came, no announcement, and the next train then popped upon the screen 'coming in 16 min' at 22.39. We didn't end up on a train until 13.11. Not a small delay at all.
- We will investigate this issue.
Public-transport disruptions are happening through Autumn (infrastructure projects).
