AFAIK I heard a down diesel through Surrey Hills at ~21.00; up at 23.12, not powering. I guess that this was the testing vehicle heading to the newly-completed grade separation work.
Tues.26.3.24 Metro X
Frankston line: Trains will not stop at Parkdale until mid 2024 (level-crossing removal work). Shuttle buses will operate Mentone - Parkdale - Mordialloc, connecting with trains. No access to station facilities or platforms during this time.
12.21 Werribee/ Williamstown lines: Major delays (a vehicle hit Napier St underline bridge, Footscray). Trains may remain stationary for extended periods at or between stations. trains may terminate/originate at intermediate stations.
- 12.36 Trains may operate at a reduced speed between Footscray and Seddon in both directions.
- 12.50 clearing.
17.05 Pakenham/Cranbourne lines: Trains will not stop at Westall (an infrastructure fault). A shuttle bus will operate between Clayton and Westall.
- Will the train go through Westall?
- Yes. All trains will continue to run in both directions, but will not stop. If you are travelling to/from Westall, you will need to change at Clayton. If you're travelling to any other station along the line, your journey will be unaffected.
- 22.27 Major delays (an infrastructure fault in the Westall area. Trains may be altered, and may be held at platforms for extended period.
- 22.51 Trains have resumed stopping.
- 23.09 Delays clearing.
Buses replace trains Cheltenham - Frankston from 20.30 until the last train (works).
Werribee/Williamstown lines: Buses replace trains North Melbourne - Newport/Williamstown from 21.30 until the last train (maintenance works).
Pakenham/Cranbourne lines: All trains direct to/from Flinders St from 21.45 until the last train (maintenance works). From Melbourne Southern Cross or loop stations, take a Lilydale/Belgrave/Glen Waverley train to Richmond.
Public transport disruptions are happening through Autumn (infrastructure projects).
