Somebody on another forum has neatly graphed a comparison of Melbourne and
Sydney tram patronage for the last few years. Melbourne is obviously not
fully recovered from the covid slump. Sydney IWLR is still a few million
short of its pre-covid 10 million passengers per year, but CSELR is
booming. When Parramatta stage one opens, that should hopefully add another
10 million passengers and 12 km to Sydney's figures.
