The attached pic showed up recently on 'facebook'.

It shows the MMTB Freight Car No 17 heading west in LaTrobe St in the early 1960s.

The area is now occupied by Melbourne Central shopping centre and an underground railway station is below LaTrobe St.

The shot tower visible at top left is incorporated into the centre and the white "Jensen House" behind it is now stuent accommodation.

I think the pic was made from the roof of the former Argus newspaper building in Elizabeth St.
