Wed.6.2.24 Metro X
Public transport disruptions continue into December, January and February.  Check before you travel at https://bit.ly/2JeTzJJ.
Frankston line: Trains will not stop at Parkdale until mid 2024 (level-crossing removal work). Shuttle buses will operate Mentone - Parkdale - Mordialloc, connecting with trains. No access to station facilities or platforms during this time.
Buses replace trains on sections of the Belgrave line until April (works).
4.25 Hurstbridge line: Major delays due to an overhead power fault near the Heidelberg area.  Services may be held at available platforms and between stations for extended period.  Services may be altered, delayed or cancelled at short notice.
- 5.07 Buses to replace trains between Heidelberg & Hurstbridge.  Buses have been ordered
- 6.45 Buses are in operation Trains will operate between Heidelberg & Flinders St, with delays
- 7.17 FFS Metro. Comfortably the worst rail service.
- 10.31  Trains resume.  First trains: 9.25 to Hurstbridge; 10.46 ex Hurstbridge.
10.40 Mernda line: Major delays (an ill passenger requiring  ambulance assistance at Epping).  Trains may be held at or between stations for extended periods.  Stopping patterns may be changed.
- 11.01 clearing.  Trains may terminate/originate at intermediate stations.
10.44 Major delays for Altona trains (a train fault near Seaholme). Trains may be held at or between stations for extended periods.  Stopping patterns may be changed,
- 10.52 clearing.  Trains may terminate/originate at intermediate stations.
Crews have removed the Bedford Road boom gates a year ahead of schedule.  As we build the new rail trench, Bedford Road is closed to traffic at the level crossing and buses replace trains on sections of the Lilydale and Belgrave lines until April.
- The exact date remains up in the air at this stage and I get the feeling it could be towards the end of April. And please confirm the date more than 24 hours out. What happened with the Frankston line and the very late confirmation last year was unacceptable.
- Do you live on the Frankston line or the Belgrave line? Are you a local to the line? It's hard for us locals to deal with ATM but at least it's another one done. I'm looking forward to riding the bike path now that it'll be finally properly connected to the rest
16.07 Pakenham/Cranbourne lines: Major delays due to a trespasser in the Carnegie area. - Trains may remain stationary for extended periods at or between stations.
- 16.24 elect trains may terminate/originate at intermediate location
- 17.11 *beep* The next station is Sandown Park!… *beep* The next station is Springvale! *beep* The next Station is Westall.   Meanwhile the train hasn’t been to Caulfield yet.
16.49 Sandringham line: Major delays (a trespasser in the Elsternwick area).  Trains may be held, or may terminate/originate at intermediate locations.
- 16.54 On a train at elsternwick any idea how long delays will be… should I just get a bus?
- 16.55  We hope to get movement soon, but we do not have an estimated time.
- 17.01 clearing.
- 17.06 We've just received clearance and trains should be on the move soon.
18.41 Mernda line: Major delays (an 'operational incident' in the Epping area.  Trains may be altered, and may terminate/originate at intermediate locations.
- 18.47 clearing.
18.43 Werribee/Williamstown/Sunbury lines: Major (police in the North Melbourne area). Trains may terminate/originate at intermediate locations.
- 19.15 clearing.
- 19.22 Why are the Craigieburn and Upfield lines not affected?
Buses replace trains Heidelberg - Hurstbridge from 20.30 until the last train (maintenance works).
Mernda/Hurstbridge/Lilydale/Belgrave/Alamein/Glen Waverley lines: All trains direct to/from Flinders St from 21.00 until the last train (maintenance works).  From loop stations, take a train from pfm 2 (inbound Dandenong) to Flinders St [and lose 30 minutes].
