6.27 Frankston line: Major delays (equipment faults in the Aspendale area). Trains may terminate/originate at intermediate locations.

11.27 There is currently no lift access at platform 2 and 3 at Laverton. Passengers requiring lift access travel on an outbound service to Aircraft and board a citybound service to Laverton.

15.06 Lilydale/Belgrave lines: Outbound delays through Burnley (an ill passenger requiring a assistance). Trains may arrive out of timetable order between the city and Ringwood. Stopping patterns may be changed.

Sunbury/Craigieburn/Upfield lines: All trains direct to/from Flinders from 21.00 until the last train (maintenance works). From Loop stations, take a southbound tram to Flinders St [as ever, Metro ignores Flagstaff and Parliament].
Trains will operate as a shuttle service between Caulfield and Pakenham/Cranbourne from 21.00 until the last train (works). Change from/to Frankston trains.
Buses replace trains Richmond - Glen Waverley from 21.05 until the last train (maintenance works).

10.34 Craigieburn/Upfield lines: Major delays (several lightning strikes).
- 11.09 Upfield line: Minor delays clearing after equipment faults caused by lightning in the Merlynston area. Trains may terminate/originate at intermediate locations.
- 11.11 Craigieburn line: Major delays after lightning strikes caused equipment faults in the North Melbourne & Oak Park areas. Trains may terminate/originate at intermediate locations.
- 11.20 Equipment faults, which are also impacting boom gates. Trains are still moving through the area; it is never safe to cross an active level crossing.
- 11.47 Does lightning also affect the Sunbury line in the North Melbourne area?
16.00 Craigieburn line: Buses are replacing trains Essendon - Broadmeadows (storm damage), adding 45 min.
- 16.51 Passengers from the city for stations beyond Broadmeadows take an Upfield train, and change at Upfield for express buses to Broadmeadows.
- 17.33 As usual PTV is most disorganised & useless. Craigieburn line not working because they cannot handle light rain. People standing at Essendon station for 20 min with o replacement bus. People getting wet in the rain but PTV cannot organise replacement. incompetence.
- 17.59 Trains resume, with major delays. First trains: 17.20 ex Flinders St; 17.58 ex Craigieburn.
- 18.49 delays now clearing.
