And indicating also that they don't go all the way to West Maribyrnong, but turn back on the long 'crossover' in Union Road? Do cars still line up there for the end of the races? Presumably not for anything related to the Show.

E class trams are seldom seen in Elizabeth St.

They do however run from Elizabeth St when the Royal Melbourne Show or
the Spring Racing Carnival is on.

They run as 57a - with the 'a' indicating that they don't go via North
Melbourne.

Last Thursday's pic shows 6093 showing 'Special' at the southern end of
Elizabeth St.
