Yes, not sure if they would be there anymore, but they were well protected from the weather at least.

Attached are some images of cable tram bodies on a farm at Natte Yallock, near Avoca. One, No. 595, was acquired by Haddon in October, 1978. It is now at Portland after passing into several hands after we departed from Haddon. At least we were the ones that saved it from an uncertain future.
The first two shots are of No. 433, which was also on the farm, but was in far worse condition than No. 595.

Thanks, Andrew; interesting. I wonder whether they might have been burnt in the 1939 (Black Friday, 13 January 1939) bushfires, which hit the Mount Macedon area, though it wasn't one of the biggest fire areas.

Someone here may know some more?

Hal Cain (who in 1983 was in the Gladysdale area (near Powelltown), not near Macedon, but watching the approach of the fires from the Cockatoo direction. Some memories don't fade!)
