Thanks, Andrew; interesting. I wonder whether they might have been burnt
in the 1939 (Black Friday, 13 January 1939) bushfires, which hit the Mount
Macedon area, though it wasn't one of the biggest fire areas.
Someone here may know some more?
Hal Cain (who in 1983 was in the Gladysdale area (near Powelltown), not
near Macedon, but watching the approach of the fires from the Cockatoo
direction. Some memories don't fade!)
