Re: Sydney Central Station new concourse

Trams had resumed by Friday morning. But not without unrelated problems. I went to catch an inbound L3 from Marks about 11:00. Sign said due in 4 minutes. after 5 minutes it changed to "Services suspended until further notice". An outbound service sat at Kensington NiS for about 15 minutes; then suddenly became an L3 again and departed. About 5 mins later an inbound service arrived empty for Chalmers St, following services going to CQ. The PIDS were alternating between "Next service in in xxxx minutes" and "Services suspended".

Brian, confused passenger.

Randle St still closed. Traffic controllers and police in the area. L2 /
L3 operating normally.

I watched a cyclist attempt suicide by tram there - they turned off
Chalmers into Devonshire as an L3 service was heading out and came face
to face with a L2 about to cross the road the other way. The L2 set
emergency braked and the cyclist weaved and rode up the hill BETWEEN the
trams.

The tram driver got up and looked back, presumably to see if any of his
passengers had taken a tumble at the sudden stop.

I gather from a friend who works out of Randwick, that this sort of
behavior is depressingly common.
