A major tram manufacture has a plant in Australia. I'm sure Dandenlong
could turn out some more Citadis x05s if required. After all most of
Sydney's current Citadis 305s were not built in France (only the first 2
were), the production run was built in Barcelona. (Presumably Spanish
labour is cheaper than French).


CAF could at a pinch partner with UGL to build Urbos 100s.


Just depends how much they want to pay for 'local content'. Victoria and
WA have been prepared to pay extra to keep the money in the local
economy instead of shipping it off shore. Maybe NSW will now do the same.
