They were also trained properly to deal with it, with instructions similar to Glasgow’s. As was every other relevant tramway and electric railway worker on any system.

Deskilling the workforce is core managerialist ideology as its perpetrators believe a deskilled workforce has less industrial power exercised through strikes and is easily replaced by equally unskilled and disempowered workers. Keep ‘em ignorant to hold pay rates down.
