I haven't been to Parramatta for a few months, but there was no evidence of provisions for an extension of Macquarie St track back in May last year.

If they were sensible, they'd put the points in now rather than stop the service and dig it all up later. At the eastern end, they've already laid a stub so that Stage 2 construction can proceed without interrupting the existing service.
