Sounds like your trip is going well.

Years ago I did see tensioned TB OH in Russia. I have it on a tape — Somewhere.

Basically the TW passes through a slender neat fitting tube which is anchored to a side bracket arm. The end of the TW is the attached to the usual weights. A new TW then starts at the other end of the tube, and the poles just slide from one contact wire, along the tube, then continue with the new wire beyond the tube.

With Russia’s temperature extremes, such an arrangement would be handy.
