Yes. APS is French, "Alimentation par Sol" and literally means "ground
feeding," for "ground-feeding power."

In their English propaganda, they call it by a greenwash term, "aesthetic
power supply."

I may be wrong, but I understand that because it is a proprietary system,
only Alstom trams can use it, so the CAF trams used on the Dulwich Hill
line can't be retrofitted to get further north than Town Hall, where the
overhead ends and APS starts for the run to Circular Quay.
