Visit Melbourne Tram Museum during Open House Melbourne, 30 & 31 July
We are delighted to announce that the museum will be open on Saturday and Sunday, 30 & 31 July, during the Open House Melbourne weekend.
See our 20 fully-restored heritage trams and explore the historic former Hawthorn Tram Depot. Listen to the stories of Melbourne and its tramways from our volunteer guides. View our exhibition /Transporting Art/, showing Melbourne's art trams from 1978 to 2018.
Open from 11am until 4pm on Saturday and Sunday, our normal gold coin donation for entry will be waived during this weekend only. Bookings are not required.
We will be running 20 minute tours every half hour. Tour group capacity is limited, on a first come, first served basis. You are also welcome to explore the museum at your own pace.
Parking is available at the Wallen Road Reserve, next door to the museum. Or travel by tram, taking routes 70 or 75 to Riversdale Junction stop 29 at the intersection of Riversdale Road, Power Street and Wallen Road.
