Re: Waiting for Art Tram #5
  Yuri Sos

I really should have checked my equipment this afternoon before venturing out after art tram B2.2012. Not to worry, a perfect near cloudless winter's day.

As I pulled up at Coventry Street and St Kilda Road, I punched the number of the tram I wanted into my Tramtracker app .
As I had a few minutes, I thought I'd add to my collection of rolling billboards.
And there was an amazing cavalcade of these rolling billboards with all-over-advertising (AOA)

First up was D1.3508 in "Tiger Trades" online US broker AOA:
{2,400 x 1,500 pxl; 2.60MB}

D1.3526 in "Longines" AOA:
{2,400 x 1,500 pxl; 2.59MB}

D1.3506 advertising "Binge" streaming network:
{2,400 x 1,500 pxl; 2.81MB}

D1.3527 colourfully advtising the extraordinary musical that is "Hamilton" at Her Majesty's theatre:
{2,400 x 1,500 pxl; 2.70MB}

D1.3529 with a side of "Wings" <g!>:
{2,400 x 1,500 pxl; 2.84MB}
The display on my camera started to flash - now what?
Great only 20% battery..... of course I hadn't swapped batteries before I went out.

Next up - D1.3513 in "Kathmandu" AOA:
{2,400 x 1,500 pxl; 3.07MB}

Quickly checked my phone for TramTracker - aah, finally the art tram is next!

But what's this? Aaaargh, a typo: 2120 instead of 2012 and I have a plain Jane B2 clas:
{2,400 x 1,500 pxl; 2.67MB}

B@gg@r! as the Toyota ad used to say.

Paul Kelly had warned me on the way here "I've done all the dumb things".

Turned my camera off and started to walk back to the car, now typing in 2012 into TramTracker.
Woohoo! B2,2012 was onl;y a couple of minutes behind.
I quickly returned and snapped B2.2012 outbound (I presented this shot upthread but it gives me an excuse to show it again to complete the story):
{2,400 x 1,500 pxl; 2.89MB}

Well, a colurful 30 minutes or so.

(beginning to really get into AOA covered trams - so much nicer and more varied than the dated Crystal Swamp livery)
