Judging by all the footage from Sydney yesterday watching the election coverage, it appears that Sydneysiders continue to think that grey skies full of water is the norm.
By way of contrast, Saturday in Melbourne once again was absolutely cloudless clear blue sky, albeit a tad crisp once you were out of the sun. So here's some photos to demonstrate what autumn weather can really be like.
Off to Albert Park to watch my son playing Districts football.
He had to get there early for pre-match coaching so I thought I'd quickly wander up to Fitzroy Street St Kilda at the point the light rail joins from the City.
As I arrived at Fitzroy Street, I caught Z3.200 heading for Kew (a characteristic number, I've never seen 200 before!):

I moved closer to the Fitzroy Street / Grey Street intersection and snapped B2.2091 inbound on a 3a service, clattering over the Albert Park and the City light rail junction. The George Hotel looks great on the corner having been repainted during the lockdown:

Inbound E1.6043 eases over the Grey Street intersection just before swinging left onto the light rail reservation:

PS. I just noticed an oddity: the photos display perfectly "fitted to screen" in Chrome and Firefox but blurry in Edge (which is based on the Chrome engine). All browsers show the images sharp when clicked to full size.
