Having had correspondence off list about this date, I finally bit the bullet and went to the repository to dig out the relevant book of negs.

20 April 1995 is the date and Steven is correct, it was a Thursday.  An unusual day for me to be in Melbourne accidentally so I guess a deliberate move on my part despite being self employed and quite busy back then.
