I've said many times that STM should be grateful that we aren't preserving anything that floats or flies.

Sydney lost one of its largest transport heritage items last night when the last of the Australian-built PJMS Manly steamers (latterly a diesel-electric boat) sank in Balls Head Bay. She was an ongoing preservation project for a private group, but was basically shot and that fact caught up with her. She was a century old. Groups preserving historic road and rail vehicles need to be grateful that at least they have terra firma under them!
