L1 replacement bus services - the latest version.

And the limited ferry operation. It’ll be interesting to see how much that’ll be used.

While they suggest using trains as an alternative to reach the city neither suburban station close to the L1, Dulwich Hill and Lewisham, have easy access, which is a reason why people with mobility issues prefer the trams in the first place. The temporary bus interchange at Lilyfield will also not be popular.

Note how they’re promoting walking as the way to get to places the buses can’t reach :

> Services will stop at Lilyfield, Rozelle Bay, Jubliee Park, Glebe, Wentworth Park, Fish Markets, John St Square, The Star, Convention, Paddy’s Market and Central.

> services run every 10 minutes during the week and every 15 minutes outside of peak time on weekdays and every 15 minutes on weekends.

> services will stop at Dulwich Hill, Dulwich Grove, Arlington, Waratah Mills, Lewisham West, Taverners Hill, Marion, Hawthorne, Leichhardt North, Lilyfield and the Star.

> To get to the city from Dulwich Hill, change at Lilyfield for 3L1 or The Star for 2L1 or 3L1 bus services or consider a Sydney Trains alternative.

> Replacement bus services will run between Dulwich Hill and Lilyfield, and between Lilyfield and Central Station. If you’re travelling from Dulwich Hill to the city, you’ll need to change at Lilyfield to continue your journey.

> There will be an additional ferry service, F10 between Blackwattle Bay Wharf, Glebe and Barangaroo Wharf.

>

> The ferry service will run weekdays between 7am and 8pm, every 30 minutes.

> Please note:

> Most replacement buses are accessible.

> All light rail replacement buses at Central Station depart from the Western Forecourt (adjacent to the Grand Concourse).

> If you are travelling between Central Station and Darling Harbour, walking might be an alternative transport option.

> A 50 percent discounted fare will apply on board light rail replacement bus services. Refunds will be backdated to Monday 8 November. The light rail replacement bus services are Opal or contactless payment enabled. You must tap on when boarding a replacement bus and tap-off when arriving at your stop. Opal readers are located in all replacement buses.

> The F10 service will only accept payments made with credit or debit cards, with full adult ferry fares charged. Opal cards and cash are not accepted. Opal rewards (daily caps, transfer discounts or frequency of use discounts) will not be available.

> Replacement buses do not stop at the following locations:

> Capitol Square (towards Central and Dulwich Hill) – Use the alternative stop at Central Grand Concourse (approx. 5 minute walk)

> Exhibition Centre (towards Dulwich Hill) – Use the alternative stop at Convention (approx. 5 minute walk)

> Pyrmont Bay (towards Central and Dulwich Hill) – Use the alternative stop at The Star (approx. 5 minute walk)

> Due to COVID-19, recommended capacity onboard buses is currently under restrictions <x-msg://12/covid-19/covid-19-safer-travel-guidance>. Check capacity displayed on buses’ doors before boarding.
