The George St line is closed for "essential maintenance" this weekend. So I decided to take a walk from CQ up to Central to see what they were doing.
Three guys were at the terminus doing some adjustments to the points.
South of Town Hall, workmen were busy with the new paving works, and installing even more ugly poles at the intersections; these seem to be for new pedestrian lights (why do they need more lights when pedestrians ignore them anyway?).
At Hay St, a group was engaged with welding at the H crossing.
As compensation for the inconvenience, the Opal readers were switched off along both lines.
