But then have a look at Transdev's bus service history in Melbourne.

I've found Sydney's public train and eastern to south eastern bus system to
be quite good. Unlike in Melbourne, Sydney folk are more inclined to thank
government run bus drivers when they alight. Tourist perspective, yes.
Melbourne's fully privatised bus system is poor compared to when quite a
part of it was government owned and run.
