The crossover at Bathurst Street has a dropped switch rail on the down.

Maybe they are finally going to fix it instead of letting the trams bang
over the fault and smash the supporting concrete to bits.

If it was just the APS they could run to Town Hall and use the Bathurst
Street crossover.


Also the council is still working on Brickfields Hill. They may have
requested a closure for safety of their street works, they might be
using cranes to put in new light fittings or plant some large trees or
something. I suspect this is the more likely cause for the closure. Some
one wants the overhead power off.
